Job Fair for Veterans Scheduled for New Orleans on September 19

NEW ORLEANS - Aug. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Cincinnati, OH – The military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary will produce a Veteran Opportunity Expo, a hiring event for veterans and other men and women with military backgrounds, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints, on Thursday, September 19, 2013. Chesapeake Energy will sponsor the event, which will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members.

RecruitMilitary expects more than 35 employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and government agencies to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are The Home Depot, Military Sealift Command, Chesapeake Energy Drilling Division, Boardwalk Pipeline Partners LP, American Income Life Insurance Company, Transocean Offshore Deepwater Drilling, DeVry University, C.R. England Inc., Battlefields to Oilfields, Point Eight Power, Mastec Network Solutions, City of New Orleans, Posigen LLC, McDonald’s Corporation, Amtrak, Latter and Blum, Tire Kingdom, Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, Petro Log International Inc., Trident University International, BJ’s Pawnshop, Glazer’s Distributors, Cox Communications, Oklahoma College of Construction, and Heavy Construction Academy.

RecruitMilitary will produce the Expo in cooperation with The American Legion (http://www.legion.org), an association of veterans who served during times of war. The Legion has 2.4 million members in nearly 14,000 posts throughout the world.
