By: Atlanta Technology Angels

ATLANTA - Aug. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Wells Fargo & Company  will be the exclusive financial services sponsor for LaunchPad2X (http://angelatlanta.com/education/launchpad2x/), an Atlanta-based women entrepreneurship program offered through Atlanta Technology Angels (ATA) (http://angelatlanta.com/), as well as a sponsor for Startup Atlanta (http://www.startupatlanta.com/), the prime entrepreneurial connector and voice for metro Atlanta, the groups announced today.

“Wells Fargo has a keen interest in supporting women entrepreneurs and new companies with innovative financial and business solutions. Working with these strong organizations is a huge opportunity to make an impact,” says Sean Mabey, small business strategy director for Wells Fargo’s Southeast region.  “For us it’s about all the ways to maximize cash flow and seize financial opportunities. These programs are a great fit.”

Through these sponsorships Wells Fargo will be the exclusive banking partner for LaunchPad2X, coaching and advising participants in the fall program and offering financial solutions and expertise to all participants. In addition, Wells Fargo will work hand in hand with Startup Atlanta to strengthen the startup ecosystem throughout the city and bring solutions to early stage business.

There has been a recent groundswell of support for Atlanta’s entrepreneur community, and organizations and executives are focused on cultivating Atlanta as the next big technology and innovation hub. “Through the Startup Atlanta initiative the city is promoting engagement, interaction and the creation of new businesses and jobs,” explains Eloisa Klementich, chairman, Startup Atlanta. “We are grateful for Wells Fargo’s investment and actions to help build stronger and more successful companies.”

Atlanta is a thriving region for start-ups and entrepreneurs, an economic growth engine for the city.  Among the goals of the community is an objective to create an environment in Atlanta that cultivates all leaders, allowing them to flourish and be successful.  “According to a recent report by Forbes, women are starting businesses at a faster pace yet are less likely to grow as quickly or receive outside funding than their male counterparts. LaunchPad2X was intentionally designed to offer women in entrepreneurial leadership roles tools to foster their business and leadership skills and increase their access to the resources needed to grow their companies,” says Bernie Dixon, founder and CEO of Advising Angels and chairman of the Atlanta Technology Angels.  “Wells Fargo’s presence in the LaunchPad2X program will be invaluable in supporting the growth and economic impact of these early stage women led companies”

Moving into the second half of the year, LaunchPad2X is offering programs to encourage further development for women entrepreneurs.  LaunchPad2X is accepting applications for its fall program till Friday, September 6. Space is limited for this competitive program so interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply soon.
