Follow on Google News | Sizzling Performances by Algebra Blessett, Glenn Lewis & Curtis Fields Rock the House for August’sBy: AW Media Group Kicking-off last night’s show was Epic recording artist, Curtis Field, the newest breakthrough artist who debuted his groundbreaking performance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and the 2013 BET Awards Show as BET’s Music Matters Pick. With many innovative features to his sound, Curtis Field is most known for creating music from an iTunes app... making music in his self proclaimed genre – Funk-Pop-Soul. Curtis began his performance playing the guitar on his iPhone... yes iPhone, singing a cover of With a Little Help From My Friends by The Beatles. Picking up the spirits of the audience, Curtis closed his set with a performance of his latest single Opposites Attract... which is available on iTunes. Ruffhouse/Capitol Music group Canadian R&B singer and songwriter, Glenn Lewis, came and dominated the stage. Singing one of his most known singles Don’t You Forget It from his late album World Outside My Window. Engaging the crowd, Glenn performed his upbeat single Time Soon Come. Wrapping up his performance, Glenn introduced one of his latest singles, Can’t Say Love from his upcoming Album Moment of Truth. Closing out August show was bellowing songstress Algebra Blessett. As a R&B and Soul artist, Algebra serenaded guests with her new single Right Next to You, from her new album Recovery. Showcasing her mind blowing voice, Algebra performed two covers by two of her musical icons, You Give Good Love by Whitney Houston and Human Nature by Michael Jackson. Promoting her most current album Recovery, Algebra shut down last nights show with her new single Nobody But You. Surprising audience members, Algebra brought R&B artist Anthony David on stage to perform a duet of their single 4Evermore and a cover duet of Keith Sweats Make it Last Forever. Anthony David then closed out the show singing snippets of his song, Words. Before the night ended, Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols awarded one lucky attendee a pair of tickets to attend four-time NAACP Award-winning stage play, ‘da Kink in My Hair’, starring Melanie Fiona, Angie Stone and Terri J. Vaughn. The play will be in Atlanta September 6 - 8, 2013 at the Cobb Energy Centre. Co-founder Marlon Nichols States "ATL Live on the Park is meant to showcase the many musical talents that hail from, reside in, or simply pass through this great city.
