KINGSWINFORD, U.K. - Aug. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Kingswinford-based company Alcomet, supplier of electrical earthing materials and components specifically for electricity substations, is pleased to announce its ambitious expansion plans.

The company has made a significant investment in extending and improving its current premises which has given it the room to fulfil its growth strategy. The extension has added office space to enable it to increase its sales and marketing department fourfold by 2014.

Alcomet is currently recruiting staff to bolster its sales, sales support and administration team to accommodate the unprecedented levels of current business. The employee appointments also form part of the company’s commitment to maintain the highest levels of customer care.

An executive “state-of-the-art” boardroom has also been added which has been equipped as a training room and includes the very latest technology. An interactive Smart board, integrated projector and a range of innovative visual management equipment are just a few of its features.

The new extension has also given the company additional warehousing space and further storage facilities to accommodate its new range of innovative products. There are also other pioneering products currently in the development stage.

Alcomet is experiencing growth in its operations as it has diversified into, previously, untapped vertical market sectors. The company is now receiving ‘high value’ orders from the aviation, rail, oil, gas and water and sewage industries.

In 2009 the company was honoured with a Queen’s Award for Innovation for its Guardian security Products range, an anti metal theft solution. The Guardian was developed specifically for the power generation electricity sub-station sector but other large industries, that have dedicated site electricity sub-stations, are also experiencing metal theft.

Alcomet’s managing director Gary James said: “Every business owner, has to work that much harder to survive in today’s punitive financial climate. With the phenomenal success we have already had with the Guardian, and metal theft spiralling out of control, as commodity prices continue to fluctuate, we knew there must be opportunities in the market place for its adoption. It was just a case of deploying our marketing strategy to a wider vertical market sector.

“With the additional operating space we have, highly motivated team members and huge market potential at home and abroad, it’s time to galvanise our growth strategy. We have lots of new exciting products under development so we are very confident about the future.”
