Cloud-based eDiscovery Company cicayda Vastly Expands Capabilities and Expertise with 18 New Hires

New hires include 8 sales professionals, 3 project managers, CFO, CISO, and EVPs of Knowledge Strategy, Client Relations and Technology Services

Aug. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- cicayda, a software company delivering 100% cloud-based e-discovery applications, today announced the addition of 18 new employees since July 1. With new hires in 10 U.S. cities including five new additions in the Nashville headquarters, the now 40+ employee legal technology company is now well positioned to deliver end-to-end eDiscovery and litigation support solutions, including managed services and eDiscovery Processing Services.

The cicayda team consists of an experienced executive team lead by CEO and co-founder Roe Frazer and CTO and co-founder Jason Cox. Recent C-Level hires include CFO Eric Bergesen and Cyril Omorogbe, the company's new Chief Information Security Officer. Mr. Omorogbe has 20+ years of information security experience including his last role as Senior IS Security Engineer with Wal-Mart where he was responsible for the risk management and the development of security architecture, security policies, and compliance issues.  Mr. Bergesen is a financial strategist and an expert in mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and business valuation.

Attorney Chelsey Johnson, Executive V-P Client Relations, effectively manages cicayda client relations programs, recognizing common workflow problems and delivering smart client-centric solutions. Prior to joining cicayda she served as the Business Development Director for Special Counsel both in Nashville and Minneapolis.

Ryan Best, Executive V-P Technology Services, is a recognized eDiscovery technology and services expert with 13+ years of experience in information technology, litigation support, project management, document review, and eDiscovery methodologies. He also founded Phoenix-based On Target Litigation Solutions which he later sold to D4.

Attorney Marc Jenkins, cicayda's new VP of Knowledge Strategy, serves as Adjunct Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University. He is also a member of the Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention, the Organization of Legal Professionals Advisory Council, and partner with Hubbard, Berry & Harris.

The rapidly growing cicayda sales team had added 9 new staff since July in the areas of Client Solutions, Strategic Alliances, Channel Partnerships and Business Development:

Michael Terry (Dallas), SVP Business Development, is a dynamic business development professional with over 15 years experience developing, executing and implementing strategic and tactical sales plans. Prior to cicayda, Michael was the National Sales Director at FIOS working with Chief Legal Officers and Fortune 500 Companies.

Kelly Ahlgren (Austin), VP of Strategic Alliances, was one of the very first employees of Renew Data, where she has played several key roles over the past 8 years, starting with inside sales and most recently leading channel sales. She has an extensive background in consulting on best practices involving legal, regulatory and administrative issues.

Andy Kennedy (Virginia Beach), VP Channel Partners, has been in the legal market for the past 15. Prior to joining cicayda, Andy was the National Director of Channel sales at Cloudnine Discovery and a long-time IKON employee rising all the way to the top of North American sales.

Stacey Neumann (Minneapolis), VP Client Solutions, has a legal staffing background based on time spent with Special Counsel where she focused on recruiting, screening and placing temporary attorneys and other legal professional. She has a keen eye for project management, training, and easy to use technology solutions. 

Aisling Fenelon (Nashville) is a lawyer and highly skilled and seasoned sales professional with over 13 years of experience with LexisNexis. While there, she specialized in client retention and new business opportunities, and developed high-level relationships with law firms of varying practice and size. 

Mike Harril (Charlotte) has 20+ years of experience in litigation support and eDiscovery project planning throughout the Southeastern U.S.  He is a self starter who founded and managed his own legal services company providing litigation support services for medium and large sized law firms.

Ben Henderson (Houston) is a seasoned sales executive with over 6 years experience with LexisNexis. While with Lexis Nexis, Ben honed his abilities to communicate with and develop solutions for the Big Data and eDiscovery needs peculiar to Multi-District Litigations.

Jeff Herron (Salt Lake City) has been in litigation support his entire adult life, starting in the trenches by working as a law firm paralegal for 15 years and assisting in all phases of the litigation process.  He was the director of eDiscovery sales at Orange Legal Technologies and most recently served as Daegis' eDiscovery Business Development Manager.

Jeff Lofstrom (Chicago) joins cicayda with extensive experience developing new business and cultivating executive-level relationships with Fortune 500 and AM Law 200 accounts in the Midwest Previously, he served as a Regional Sales Manager for both CT Summation (Wolters Kluwer) and InterLegis in Chicago.

Finally, cicayda's eDiscovery Services team was also greatly expanded with the addition of these Senior Directors of eDiscovery Services and one seasoned veteran of eDiscovery operations. They include:

Trevor Clark joins cicayda with over 14 years of service-oriented eDiscovery consulting and sales, solutions analysis, and project management experience.  In his previous roles, Trevor operated as both a project manager and sales engineer/solutions architect and spent 10 years at Fios, and then DTI.

Shannon Mazur has been working in all phases of eDiscovery, including collection, data processing, review, and production for over 11 years. Prior to joining cicayda, she created best-practices policies, managed eDiscovery project managers, and worked closely with clients on day-to-day eDiscovery needs for Orange Legal Technologies.

Tim Nalley has been in litigation support and eDiscovery since 2003, providing extensive project design, forensic analysis, customer support, and project management for highly complex litigation cases across the country.  He was previously at DTI as a project manager in their National Technology Center.

David Meyers, the former owner of inTune Professional Document Services (now part of cicayda), assumes the role of Director of Client Services and runs the Minneapolis-based litigation support services operation.
