By: Dormy House Hotel Returning and new guests will find a hotel that has undergone quite a transformation in just a few months. Forty new bedrooms are being created, with 17 of these designed by the London design house Todhunter Earle Interiors, working alongside Cotswold architect Tony D’Alton. At the time of the Dormy’s re-opening to guests on 2 August, 29 bedrooms will have been completed. A beautiful flower garden has been created especially for the Dormy by the award-winning garden designer and TV presenter Chris Beardshaw. This links to The Garden Room, a contemporary restaurant with a unique “Trust Me” menu for diners who fancy a culinary adventure in the hands of Head Chef Paul Napper. It will feature a range of set à la carte menus from £40. For more informal dining, from brunch to evening cocktails, The Potting Shed has been created to offer relaxed dining and drinks around a large welcoming bar. Its food style will be hearty and rustic, sourced from the best local suppliers. The remodelled Dormy House will be the epitome of farmhouse chic. Six open fires will welcome guests from all over the UK and locally, while an extensive Afternoon Tea menu will be an important feature of the Dormy day.
