Without warning Kendra suddenly found herself the object of attention from two men that could not be more different and she could make an impulsive decision that would lose a man like one she had been seeking for years.
The relationships between black men and women have been a subject of intense debate for years as fractures in the black family structure continue to increase. Many black women feel that they unfairly take the brunt of that criticism while carrying much of the burden for caring for children that result from these troubled family structures. Kendra Henson reached her tipping point of accepting disrespect from various corners that was dumped upon her and other black women on a daily basis. Kendra tries to understand and deal with what almost seems like a level of contempt for single black women that she experiences on a frequent basis.

Kendra does not feel that she needs a man to feel complete, but like many women she would desire a loving, fulfilling and respectful long term relationship. Will Kendra find a man with a proper appreciation and respect for her as a person to become her soul mate for life?
