Vibram Minimalist Shoes Review: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

We all know how it goes. You walk in your heels, your feet begin to ache and pain hits in less than a mile. Men, this applies to you too. Don’t try to avoid it. Vanity over functionality, right? Wrong.

SANFORD, Fla. - Aug. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- We all know how it goes. You walk in your heels, your feet begin to ache and pain hits in less than a mile.

Men, this applies to you too. Don’t try to avoid it.

Vanity over functionality, right? Wrong.

Not only have I found the ugliest pair of shoes on the planet, but I’ve also found one of the best barefoot sports shoes on the planet.

Maybe you’ve seen these walking around or maybe you’re wondering what Vibrams are. Or maybe you’re wondering what the hell minimalist shoes are.

Right here, right now, I’m not going to explain the benefit of minimalist shoes.

Instead I’m going to give you the dirt on the most popular brand, the Vibram minimalist shoes (http://www.nateanglin.com/vibrams-minimalist-shoes-review-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly/).

This way you can purchase this shoe with complete confidence.

The Good

The best feature of the Vibram FiveFinger minimalist shoe is how it snugs your feet. You truly feel as though you’re walking on air.

It may not feel like this at first since your feet, ankles, calves, legs and back are used to the poor support of modern shoes, but you’ll know what I mean a few weeks after your first pair.

The Vibrams minimalist shoe completely redesigns the way you walk (http://www.nateanglin.com/walk-more-now-or-youll-hate-you...), run, jump and perform agility movements. It brings the complex physiological design that you were created with back to it’s normal function.

Another great feature of these shoes is the quality. They’re easy to clean and made with superior material. The bottom of the minimalist shoe is a patented Vibram sole that protects you from elements and obstacles in your path. It’s simply perfect.

The Bad

The Vibrams minimalist shoes gives you a run for your money. No they’re definitely not over priced but you’ll have to break them in slow.

Start walking around your neighborhood for short distances and build up your tolerance.

If you just throw these shoes on and go, like I did, you’re going to feel discomfort and hurt yourself.

You will be shocked at how weak your feet and legs are. If you don’t believe me then please throw your first pair on and go for a 3 mile run (http://www.nateanglin.com/lazy-mans-guide-to-walking-more/). Good luck. You will need to start using your Vibrams 20% of the time and gradually increase from there.

The Ugly

Quite literally right?

These shoes are no fashion statement. If you’re into the whole vanity over functionality thing these probably aren’t for you. Although, Vibram FiveFinger has been doing a great job designing more styles, especially for women.

These shoes are designed to bring back the physiological design in which you were created with. This trumps vanity design any day.

The Vibrams minimilist shoes isn’t for everybody. People who care what they look like in the gym or running through the nature trails (deers aren’t judging you) might avoid shoes for barefoot running at all costs.

If you feel like your have poor functionality of your lower extremities or just want to upgrade your physiology, I highly recommend Vibrams minimalist shoes.
