 BALTIMORE—Career Communications Group, Inc.’s (CCG) US Black Engineer and Information Technology (USBE) magazine was awarded a 2013 Apex Award for its remarkable editorial skills in the category of “Interviews and Personal Profiles.”

This Award of Excellence for Interviews and Personal Profiles highlights the contributions of CCG Chairman and CEO, Tyrone D. Taborn and Contributing Writer Garland Thompson for US Black Engineer and Information Technology’s “Freeman Hrabowski- Black Engineer of the Year” story.

The Apex Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. The competition was highly intense as there were 2,400 entries.
