The doors are still opened for all interested emerging technology businesses to apply through the following URL: www.umniah.com/ Supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) - Jordan and the Information and Communications Technology Association (Int@j), the acceleration program was organized to support companies in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector and help them attain valuable experiences that can be assimilated into the local market. Umniah’s affiliation with Plug and Play aims at bridging Jordan to California’s Silicon Valley. Plug and Play—a leading business accelerator— Umniah’s CEO, Ihab Hinnawi said, “Entrepreneurs can take advantage of the opportunity at hand which allows them to excel regionally and globally. The initiative is the first of its kind in Jordan, and with the support of USAID and Int@j, we have forged long-lasting relations with our affiliates in Silicon Valley, giving the opportunity for local emerging companies to attract new investments and get the benefit of Plug and Play’s expertise.” Mr. Hinnawi later added, “It is of great importance that the government and companies from both the private and public sectors support initiatives like this one, as it help entrepreneurs expand their reach in the market.
