Breaking News: 77 Year old Sandy Victim Goes through HELL

Mrs. G's story is one that NJ officials in Toms River and the State should take note . We need to get more hands on help to the primary residents that have been affected by Sandy. Lets not let this storm define us in this way. NJ STRONG lets help.

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Aug. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- This has been a very turbulent time for this widowed 77Yr. Old Mrs. G. We all have suffered from the devastation from Super Storm Sandy but some more than others. There has been Millions raised for Sandy victims programs set up to give money back. But why can't the victims get it? Who gets it and how does the story I am about to tell happen? First we have to go back to Hurricane Irene this woman was flooded in her home and lost everything. To refresh this was the August storm of 2011. She being a single elderly woman and did have all the proper insurance, Flood and homeowners. So she though it would be simply a matter of notifying the insurance company and getting paid after the flood.. Well she contacted her insurance and was offered a very low ball amount of money and had to hire an expert Public Adjuster at ACI Adjustment Group just to get the insurance company to pay. The Public adjuster had to battle the insurance company just to get the money she was legally entitled to receive. This is the first crime that took place. Now after finally getting her money she and her son went to work on the home ,gutting it and restoring to its original state. She was planing on moving in on October 30,2012 and then Sandy hit destroying her home and leaving it in a sink hole. This time she figured she didn't need to pay the extra fee to the Public Adjuster. She felt a even a child can see the home is totaled so she would receive the policy max. This was her first mistake. The insurance company had an engineer come to the home John Mann from Belmar NJ he was there a total of a little over 12 minutes and told her son you can saw half the home in-half and save half. What this does is reduce the insurance companies liabilities having to only pay for half and this is what they have done. Now since the home is totaled and she needs all the money to replace it this won't work. In comes the Public Adjusters again at ACI Adjustment Group. Like a white knight they quickly accessed the situation and are currently still fighting to get this engineer to change his report. The ACI Adjustment Representative Bill Roberts has even gotten the insurance company Cat adjuster and the home office adjuster in charge of Mr. Mann to both agree that this home is totaled. They had asked Mr. Mann to change his report he refused so they asked him just to make an addendum saying that this scope would cost more than just tearing down he refused. So the Public adjusters are taking the next steps to expose this injustice. Now during this time our 77 yr. Old Mrs. G has now been homeless for two years due to storms paying many extra expenses and going broke in the process. She had heard of NJRE an extra $150K for primary residents to help in the building process. So she decided to apply. The NJRE set an appointment for her to come in on a  Thursday at 10am. She was overdue on her 2012 taxes by $1,100.00 and they need to be paid by Thursday the same day. The 10am appointment was in Lakewood and she is staying in Sea Side Park about 30 minutes away. So she decided to go to Lakewood first believing she would have plenty of time to go to Toms River tax department by 4:00pm. We ll she was at NJRE until 3:30pm and would never make it. So she went the next day and was told the home was sold! Now the homes tax liability was sold to the highest bidder not the home but still a major shock to anyone 77 yrs. Old and not having full understanding of the ways of bill collecting. This was immediately straighten out by Bill Roberts and he even got the town to waive the $800 penalty he went above and beyond being a Public Adjuster but that's what ACI Adjustment Group has been doing since its inception claims Mrs. G. Now that that nightmare is over she received another letter saying she will be fined $250 a day unless the sink hole in front of her house if filled in? The entire home is in the sink hole and she doesn't have the money to do fix it. Where is all the help people? Where? Toms River please treat your citizens of Ortley Beach better they are going through Hell.
