DETROIT - Aug. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Detroit, MI - Augmented Reality (AR) may seem like a futuristic concept but in reality it’s becoming a part of our daily lives. Given the focus that this use of mobile technologies is attracting among business, industry, government and the media, and the need to increase understanding of the technology, Mobile Monday Detroit will explore AR and its implications at its August 12th event taking place at Compuware at 5:30 p.m .

AR blurs the line between what’s real and what’s computer-generated by enhancing what we see, hear or feel. With the help of advanced AR technology, the information about the surrounding real world of the user becomes interactive and increasingly informative.

To help us gain an understanding, Mobile Monday Detroit presents the following speakers:

-  Steve Peterson, Director of Sales & Business Development, DAQRI

-  Ali Al-Aasm, Co-founder/Developer, Red Piston

-  Brian Wassom, Partner/Chair of Social, Mobile & Emerging Media Practice Group, Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP

They will address such topics as:

-  An overview of Augmented Reality (AR) technology and how it will be used

-  AR Developer tooling and approaches

-  Legal issues with Augmented Reality
