International Academy of Hair Design Cosmetology Students Offer Rocking Back to School Specials

PHOENIX - Aug. 8, 2013 - PRLog --      Cosmetology students at International Academy of Hair Design in Mesa, Tempe, Phoenix and West Phoenix are helping students return to school in style with a variety of back to school specials.

     The specials include: buy one get one free haircuts; $2 off any regularly priced haircut; $4 off acrylic nail services and 50% off any $24 or more color service (limited to Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.)

     “By offering deep discounts to our already reasonably-priced services, we can help ensure more students can go back to school in style,” said Jessica Wolman, one of the owners of the IAHD.

      The cosmetology schools are offering the Back to School specials now through Sept. 30, 2013.  The cosmetology students perform the services under the supervision of a licensed instructor.  No appointment is necessary.

     “The excitement of going back to school can be extended to adults interested in a career change,” added Margie Wisniski, vice president of operations.  “Students who complete our cosmetology program and pass the state bar can launch into a rewarding occupation that can be used throughout the country, offers a flexible schedule, as well as provide a valuable and needed service to others.”

     According to a U.S. News and World Report hairdresser is cited as one of the best jobs of 2012. In a March 21, 2012 article in USA Today, beauty salon sales grew 5.4 %.4 in the last two years vs. a 2.3% sales increase in 2009.  With the Bureau of Labor Statistics projections of 15.7% employment growth expected by 2020, the future of hair salons and the future of hair stylists should continue to grow.
