Safeguarding Adults

Wednesday 23rd October 2013 – Central London

Chaired by:
Mike Briggs, Joint Chair, National Safeguarding Adults Policy Network, Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS)

With the Care Bill due to receive Royal Assent in 2014, Capita’s Safeguarding Adults Conference provides you with an insight into the Government’s plans to overhaul social care legislation and funding. This conference is timed to enable you to prepare for the new simplified legal framework which aims to ensure a degree of national consistency, whilst also emphasising local flexibility and autonomy.

This event will give you guidance on the inspection of care, including new Ofsted-style hospital and care home inspections and achieving a balance between protecting and empowering individuals vulnerable to abuse. Attend this conference to hear best practice partnership working between Safeguarding Adults Boards (SABs), housing, health, social care, and the police in preventing and reducing the risk of adults suffering from abuse, neglect or harm.
