Party Wall Surveyor training course gains national recognition

Aug. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Training is available to chartered surveyors, engineers and architects but applications are actively encouraged from anyone with a construction background (management, technical or trade) or allied occupational competency, who has an interest in practicing as a party wall surveyor.

The Act requires that surveyors be appointed to resolve any disputes that arise in connection with works falling under its ambit but does not require a surveyor to be professionally qualified. In keeping with that ethos, no formal qualifications are necessary for entry to the course.

The Cskills Awards accredited course has two stages – attendance on a two day intensive course followed by a post-course written assessment. Candidates must successfully complete both stages to gain a certificate branded by PartyWallSurveyors.org and Cskills Awards. The assessment, to be completed in a candidate’s own time, is not a first time pass or fail memory test but, rather, requires a candidate to develop appropriate solutions to real world problems.

The first opportunity to take the accredited course will be during September 2013 in central London.
