MILTON KEYNES, U.K. - Aug. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- UK-based CBRN training system specialist Argon Electronics (http://www.argonelectronics.com/) has delivered a substantial sensor simulation contract that will enhance the British Armed Forces CBRN response capability.

The project comprised a significant number of PlumeSIM (http://www.argonelectronics.com/products/plumesim/cbrn-plumesim/) instrumented CBRN training systems and associated simulation detectors, including Camsim (http://www.argonelectronics.com/products/chemical-simulators/camsim/), AP4C-SIM (http://www.argonelectronics.com/products/chemical-simulators/ap4c-sim/) and LCAD-SIM. This follows the extremely successful introduction of PlumeSIM at the UK Defence CBRN centre (https://www.gov.uk/defence-chemical-biological-radiological-and-nuclear-centre), Winterbourne Gunner in 2012.

In addition to providing an enhanced training capability across the various services, the introduction of the simulators will result in considerable on-going cost savings. It will also assist the UK MoD in its drive to reduce the environmental impact of its training whilst maintaining operational readiness.

“This substantial contract demonstrated Argon’s ability work with our customers in order to deliver a major project to extremely tight deadlines. We are extremely proud that UK MoD awarded Argon this important contract, and look forward to a continuing long term relationship with DE&S,” stated Steven Pike, Managing Director of Argon Electronics. The UK MoD contract award follows similar successes for Argon in Ireland, Sweden and Canada.
