As a youngster, Lowell George was a recognized musical prodigy. As a teenager, Lowell was already playing on recording sessions for Frank Sinatra. He later founded the band Little Feat, a favorite of the new FM album rock scene that emerged in the early 1970s. This show features 12 degrees of separation, all connecting to Lowell George.

The 12 degrees include songs by Dean Martin, Rick Nelson, Eagles, Flying Burrito Brothers, Poco, Souther-Hillman-Furay Band, The Turtles, and more.

Daniel Dullum, host of Rock and Roll 101, said, "Face it - what other rock radio show would feature a music mix that includes Frank Sinatra, Frank Zappa, Dean Martin, Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and Walter Brennan?"

Also in the first hour, we'll feature a six-pack of seldom-heard originals that became bigger hits for someone else - songs like "Needles And Pins," "Angel Of The Morning," "Do Wah Diddy" and "Tainted Love."

"We Can Work It Out" is the Cover of the Week. Album Tracking features The Moody Blues, and the Vintage Tunedex is Billboard's Top Ten for the week of August 14, 1965.

So, for a different spin on the Top 40 hits, classic tracks and regional hits that time forgot, join Daniel this Sunday, August 11, for two hours of music educational fun on Rock and Roll 101, now in High Fidelity! Class is in session at 5 p.m. Arizona (Pacific) Time, on KQCK-Live Internet Radio, Queen Creek, Arizona.
