The film tells the story of an “Average Joe” (Jason Sedillo) who bluffs his way into a job on a team of superheroes. "Now Hiring" also stars Timmy Williams ("The Whitest Kids U Know"), Caitlin Rose Williams (ABC Family's "Make It Or Break It"), Jason Scarbrough, Akasha Banks Villalobos, Taylor James Johnson, Roman Garcia, Jamye Cox, and Camden Toy (TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") as Lord Menace. Sanchez has won two Globe Awards from the Alamo Theatre Arts Council (a local theatre organization dedicated to recognizing excellence in production and performance) For Cantu, Sanchez was a natural choice to play the Mayor. “Gloria and I both worked at Fiesta Texas in the 90s,” he explains,” so I’ve been following her career for years. She brings this incredible presence and energy to her performances on stage,” he says, “and I knew that would translate well onscreen. So when the time came to cast the Mayor, I knew it would be the perfect role for her.” As one of San Antonio’s most prolific and recognizable screen actors, Bumpers’ list of accolades includes two Best Actor Awards, from the 2012 SA 48HR Film Experience and the 2013 Short Shorts film festival. As he explains, “I saw that Mark was hiring and I thought I’d apply. All the superhero jobs were filled, but Mark found a role for me - he said he couldn’t let a beard like this go to waste!” "Now Hiring" will complete principal photography in August, and Bumpers will join Toy when the actor returns to San Antonio on the weekend of August 16 to film his final scenes as Lord Menace.
