Magic Evan Tours NYC Public Libraries to Promote Summer Reading

NEW YORK - Aug. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- NYC Magician Magic Evan is performing Abracadabra, his summer reading magic show, at libraries across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. After the magic show, Evan will facilitate a magic workshop to teach the kids some magic tricks and show them which books to read to learn more. The magic show runs for approximately 60 minutes. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. All ages are welcome, but the magic show is geared towards children ages four and up. Admission is free.

Evan Paquette, a.k.a. "Magic Evan," is a professional New York based children's magician who performs 265 days a year. He has earned a Master's Degree in Educational Theater from New York University, and has also taught in NYC public school system.

"My magic show gets kids really excited about reading. And that's important," says Paquette. "Literacy is about more than just reading and writing...It's about acquiring the skills needed to follow your dreams."
