Zampell Opens a West Coast Office in Portland, OR

MILWAUKIE, Ore. - Aug. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Zampell Companies - With the recent hiring of Richard Quintana as the Sr. Construction Manager, Zampell is proud to say it is providing refractory services from coast to coast in the United States. Richard has a significant amount of experience with many of the traditional Zampell industries served including power and heating boilers, recovery boilers, biomass boilers, wood dryers, landfill flares, thermal oxidizers, and especially furnaces and incinerators.

Rich’s background in furnaces, especially heat treating furnaces for the purpose of manufacturing aircraft engine parts, is consistent with the same origins of Zampell itself. Zampell’s founder, Thomas J. Zampell, built the reputation of Zampell on quality craftsmanship by originally focusing on the many furnaces utilized at GE in Lynn, MA. These furnaces had intricate components and brickwork for managing heat on a variety of parts utilized in aircraft engines and other critical components.

Rich also participated in one of the first tile installation projects in the United States in partnership with Carborundum at Stanislaus Resource Recovery Facility in Crows Landing, California. This is also consistent with the history of Zampell given the company’s long dedication to Waste-to-Energy dating back to 1975 in Saugus, Massachusetts.
