Zampell’s founder, Thomas J. Zampell, built the reputation of Zampell on quality craftsmanship by originally focusing on the many furnaces utilized at GE in Lynn, MA. These furnaces had intricate components and brickwork for managing heat on a variety of parts utilized in aircraft engines and other critical components. Rich also participated in one of the first tile installation projects in the United States in partnership with Carborundum at Stanislaus Resource Recovery Facility in Crows Landing, California. This is also consistent with the history of Zampell given the company’s long dedication to Waste-to-Energy dating back to 1975 in Saugus, Massachusetts.
