Manchester, NH – Owners Patrick Cain and Valerie Anderson are pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Murphy to General Manager of the unique comfort food concept called Mr. Mac’s that opened in Manchester on Hooksett Road in November of 2010. Mark, a resident of Manchester, began at Mr. Mac’s as a line cook, and then was quickly promoted to assistant general manager. Murphy is a recent graduate of Plymouth State University, with a business focus and has quickly gained the respect of the Mr. Mac’s young workforce.  

 Mr. Mac’s has a dedicated focus to provide opportunities for young people and students who are looking to enter the hospitality and food service industries. Many members of the relatively young Mr. Mac’s staff participate in multiple levels of the business, including recipe development and marketing. Murphy plans to keep it that way, stating, “Mr. Mac’s is a new and exciting concept that fits well with a young and energetic workforce. We are proud to be a part of a team that is forging new territory.”

The concept offers premium cheeses and ingredients to make some 20 different menu items, such as their favorite Philly Cheese Steak Mac, which is oven baked and served hot in a skillet. Along with their cozy dining room, complete with big screen TV, Mr. Mac’s offers large trays for parties, and Take and Bake trays that people can call in to order and then pick up. Cold macaroni salads and Gluten-Free options make the Mr. Mac’s menu one that anyone can enjoy. Plans are underway to expand Mr. Mac’s to additional locations and even to franchise for those looking to capture the wave in this new market niche.
