ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Aug. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Zephyrhills Fall AutoFest and its parent company, Carlisle Events, return to Pasco County in 2013 for the annual November event.  The weekend, which takes place November 14-17 at Festival Park just south of downtown Zephyrhills, hosts a two-day collector car auction as well as a four-day swap meet and car corral.  In addition, there are celebrities, special cars, displays and attractions, plus new for the fall of 2013, a special invitational/VIP parking area has been established, giving the grounds a true car show feel.

Highlights include a 40th anniversary celebration of American Graffiti.  As part of the gathering, enthusiasts can meet Cindy Williams (Lori) and Candy Clark (Debbie) from the film.  In addition, replica cars specific to the film will be on display near the two female leads and on Saturday of event weekend, Zephyrhills Mayor Daniel W. Burgess will be onsite to declare American Graffiti Day, honoring the film, Fall AutoFest and Williams and Clark.

Williams and Clark won't be the only stars onsite as stars from the racing world converge on Festival Park too.  Enthusiasts who have the need for speed, or simply appreciate it, can meet "Big Daddy" Don Garlits, Elaine Larsen and Milo Coleman.  Garlits is a Bay Area native and NHRA Hall of Fame driver who has a museum and displays in Ocala, Larsen is a Jet Racer and is based in Daytona Beach and Coleman, also a Bay Area resident, has won multiple championships and races, while being named NHRA D/Stock class Champion.

Along with the stars, cars are a feature too, both within the car corral and the collector car auction.  New for 2013, Carlisle Events is offering a "Free Unless Sold" policy.  This means that if a car is consigned for auction and does not sell, the registered seller will get back all fees associated with registration.  In addition, spotlight auction times are available.  With this feature, consignors who want their cars to run at specific times can pay an up charge to guarantee that their vehicle will be seen at a set time, rather than in order with the rest of the run list.  Again, just like consigning a regular car, if the spotlight car doesn't sell, all fees are returned to the seller.

Festival Park also welcomes a car show element to the weekend.  Positioned just inside of the main vendor gate and alongside Garlits, Larsen and the American Graffiti cars and cast will be a special display of show cars.  These cars, limited to approximately 200, are selected via invitational submission and/or special invitation.  Those who are selected will gain access for just $25.  This covers admission for two and onsite parking.

Additional activities include a parachute team jumping in to deliver the American Flag, great food and a relaxing atmosphere.  Daily admission varies, with tickets running $8 on Thursday, $10 on Friday and Saturday and $5 on Sunday.  Children 12 and under are free, plus parking is free all around the Festival Park grounds.
