The King of Kingdom of Farrell opposes the Antarctic Treaty and the Antarctic Treaty System. The Kingdom of Farrell is an independent sovereign nation that claimed Marie Byrd Land of Antarctica the summer of 1936. We were the 5th nation to claim a piece of Antarctica and this was before the 1961 deadline on claiming a piece of Antarctica. The Kingdom opposes the Treaty for a number of reasons. Most of the nations that are apart of the treaty aren't even claimants of Antarctica. The treaty doesn't allow us to run our country the way we'd want too. It interferes with the way we run our government. Most governments have land other than Antarctica but our nation only claims land on Antarctica. Nations are allowed to go on our territory without even asking for permission, but if we did that to another nation that could cause a war. The treaty doesn't protect us from those who are at fault for global warming which is causing drastic effects every year on our land. There is a lot more I could say but I want other nations to stand up with me and stop giving these international organizations more power than the power we have. My nation may be small but even the small guy should get a say in how we want to run our governments compared to the "super nations".
