myWriterTools Releases Version 3 of MyWordCount Writing Software

ORINDA, Calif. - Aug. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- This significant upgrade adds a number of features, including support for Macintosh computers, in addition to the existing Windows support. The basic tool counts and graphs words, phrases, and sentence length for a number of file formats, including MS Word and Scrivener files. The new additions include character frequency charting, counting adverbs ending in ‘ly’, highlighting sentences with high Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level scores (a measure of how difficult a sentence is to read), and an option to allow similar words to be group using “stemming’ algorithms. This latter option would group words like “grade, grades, graded, grading” together, as well as more complicated word forms like “are, is, be, been, being, was, were, am.”

Requirements
myWordCount runs on Windows platforms (Windows XP and later), and Macintosh computers (OS 10.5 Leopard and later). It supports (but does not require) MS Word 2000 and later documents, and Scrivener project files, as well as standard Rich Text Format and text files.
