THE NEW ENGLAND SURF COMPANY AMBASSADOR CATHLEEN FRANEY WINS STAND UP PADDLEBOARD (SUP) COMPETITION

On Saturday, August 3, The New England Surf Company (NESC) served as an event sponsor for the Save the Harbor / Save the Bay and the Massachusetts Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) fundraising competition at the M Street Beach in South Boston. Paddlers were greeted with a light Southwest sea breeze that made conditions difficult.  Despite the choppy seas NESC Ambassador Cathleen Franey put in an amazing performance finishing the ladies 1-mile course in less than 8 minutes and well ahead of the competition.  NESC men’s Ambassador Dave Figlioni, also put in impressive performance grabbing second place in the men’s competition.  Congratulations, you guys rocked it!

Proceeds raised from the SUP competition benefits both the Massachusetts Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation and Save the Harbor / Save the Bay.
