Huntsville/Madison Visitor Conv Bureau chose The Eaves Restaurant Exe Chef Owner, Merle Phillip, to promote Huntsville Restaurant Week. Phillip, a minority business owner, appeared in the Points South Section of the August, Southern Living Magazine.

Executive Chef Phillip, one of but a few female African American fine cuisine chefs in Alabama, has an extensive background in the restaurant industry. Chef Phillip trained for her career in New York and New Jersey. She has worked for major catering companies in Washington, D.C. She also has been a contributing and is a published writer for The National Restaurant Association.

Chef Phillip left New York and Washington, D.C., both renowned for having world-class cuisine, in order to bring delectable culinary fare to Huntsville, Alabama. The Eaves is a premiere dining restaurant offering Huntsville and surrounding cities a full selection of delicious and unique culinary food.

The Eaves Restaurant is pleased to be a participant in Huntsville Restaurant Week, August 16-25, 2013, which is a part of the statewide Alabama Restaurant week, a promotion of a Year of Alabama Food.
