His traditional rotating Internship at Richmond Hospital, Richmond Heights, Ohio was followed by extensive dermatology residency training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Smith is currently a member of numerous medical societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society of Mohs Surgeons, American Osteopathic Academy, American Medical Academy, and Sigma Sigma Phi national scholastic and service fraternity. He has authored a textbook chapter and many articles in dermatology and dermatologic surgery
