R&B Album "Run" by Lugo commands Throw your hands up!

NeoSoul and R&B finds a voice in "Run" by Nuyorican vocalist and songwriter Lugo.

NEW YORK - Aug. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Lugo is a songwriter from New York who has spent most of his time writing and composing music for others. One such other is Norman Brown who won a Grammy award for his work “just chillin”.  "I absolutely love working with Norman Brown and on his album and composing this song “in my life” with him. Although I was not in the studio with him and actually never met him we won best pop instrumental album together.  I was called into the studio to sing and compose a small part or chorus on one of his songs titled "in my life". This was late in the album process and the overdubs were hurried and rushed.  Bassy Bob Brockman was the producer on this track. He won a Grammy award for working with Christina Aguilera on her first album. I was working with Bob on my album and Bob always called me to work with him on things that he was working on."  Today Lugo is working on his next tour and publicity for R&B soul record run. Run is an album comprised of R&B Dance, neosoul love songs and midtempo grooves. The song S1W2 is a nod to old school hip-hop. "The days when I lived in the projects of Castle HIll in the Bronx were filled with these types of rhythms, Electronic, dry and aggressively funky. Public enemy was my favorite rap bands. This song is for them." Lugo tells.  The song "I can feel it" is a disco anthem. The funk of the baseline and the simple one two of the kick and snare transport you to the hottest clubs of New York City's nightlife. The best song for ring tones is "show of hands" this song is about abundance and being able to go anywhere at anytime do anything at anytime with whomever at any moment. The element of being able to give what ever it is your partner wants is crucial and neccesarry in starting a relationship. This song validates that feeling and encourages you that it is possible whatever it is you want. Law of attraction anyone? "Show of hands" is a song about overcoming and about not needing to rely on anyone for happiness. "Show of hands" is a Saturday night fever walking down the street I can do anything type of song. It is the jewel in the crown of the album and the feel-good moment. Run run run like your life depends on it is the songwriters motto. "but you've got love running low it's absolutely free to fill up." Is one of the more special lyrics in the song. Where would we be without stepping? "Got me where you want me" is the ultimate song for stepping. this song commands you to move your body up and down the dance floor in a busstop frenzy. The baseline buzzes you into the dance. We are all slaves to the dance, slaves to the beat.  In this song is the taskmaster commands you to STEP!. "VideoSongs" is a midtempo groove honoring the video music tradition and the antithesis to Radio killed the video star.  "Never too much" is a Luther Vandross remake. This remake is bare-bones rhythm and voice and is an homage to the man whose music never left him.  Overall this album has something for everyone who loves soul and R and B music.  http://youtu.be/XnhFHhp8qqw
