Aug. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Time ago the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health has done a study about supplement consumption in body builder athletes.  Five hundred bodybuilders, both men and women, form different gyms were asked to complete a check-list about their supplementation.  Mostly they supplemented for health, enhancing body system and just 25% of them recognized they take them for improving athletic performance.

What really surprise is that even 72% of them had access to the nutritionists; they misused it and made choice by their self.  Acting this way is dangerous. With time, this habit not changed, but contrary, gained more ground.  At the moment every second adult American is taken supplemented and just small percentage of them look for the medical advice about what is fit their needs.

Taking too much supplements is worse than not taking at all. Think about it, every time you are about to add some Calcium, fish-oil or any other vitamin to your diet.  Check your body needs for these vitamins with your nutritionist, taking in consideration your further plans about running into a training routine.  With this in mind and based on your healthy situations, the specialist will recommend proper doses and timing for supplements to take.  Just to know, researchers have shown that that so popular vitamin C, if abused, may leads to cardiovascular diseases.

Supplements are not food replacements. Eat clean, natural food to feed your body accordingly. A well balanced diet makes more than any supplement. If you fail here, you are about to get into big health problems.

To get detailed information about supplements is not difficult.  A simple search on the internet shows up a thousand of pages where to read about it.  Even this is a good method; it should never be an alternative to specialist advice.  To take the most benefits from you supplements and stay safe you need an individualized plan, connected to your needs.

The conclusion is that the administration of supplements in building muscle mass (http://www.whatsteroids.com) is high, and most of them make decision by themselves what to take.  Even they have the opportunity to ask a nutrients advice they will not do it. More often resort to the coacher’s advice.
