His life is rescued from certain death in a most unexpected way. As it turns out his rescue also delivers him from a tormented life with no future to one that is most promising. Together they are the missing piece necessary to  launch the quest to unite Ireland’s fractious and feuding kingdoms into one gloriously united kingdom.

Author Glen Klassen sums up this book as individuals wanting to accomplish something great for Ireland. In the process they also begin fulfilling their own personal destinies. The pursuit of Irish unity forces them to grow as people and even though it is uncomfortable and dangerous they know they must do it.

The tale involves extraordinary interventions to facilitate assassinations, rescues, winning battles and successful diplomacy. There is romance as the hero falls in love with the King's daughter. Their relationship empowers the Princess to move the hero from being a rather rough and cruel individual, to one who is worthy of being a noble prince. The power of a woman on a man.

This adventure is primarily driven by four main characters with the hero, Edwin and his wife, Princess Greer playing the leading roles. The plot is the process of bringing together the numerous small Irish kingdoms into one united Ireland. There is extensive dialogue filled with inspirational life wisdom about leadership, relationships and personal wholeness.

As a student Glen Klassen had the opportunity to spend a summer working in Dublin, Ireland. This gave him the opportunity to see up close the Irish people, their culture and their country. He enjoyed his experience immensely and has a profound respect and love for the Irish people and their country.

The author also has a passion for growing in personal wholeness. An inspiring message about Braveheart sparked him to start writing about being a Braveheart. As he did so the character, Edwin appeared out of the mists of time. After a paragraph he knew he could turn the story into an entire book.
