Sussex print company wins three awards

ROBERTSBRIDGE, U.K. - Aug. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- An East Sussex design and print company came home with three trophies from The 1066 Business Awards 2013 including the top accolade.
Robertsbridge-based Millbrook Design & Print Ltd won the HSBC Overall Business of the Year, the Small Business of the Year Award and received a Highly Commended award in the Customer Service category.
Company Director Dave Roderick said: “We were thrilled and quite astounded to pick up three awards. The icing on the cake was receiving the Overall Business Award which was amazing against some really tough competition.
“We have been worked very hard to grow the business and deliver brilliant customer service. Our client base, which is now more than 300, includes some prestigious brands - we’re so pleased that our efforts have been recognised in this way.”
There were more than 400 entries to The 1066 Business Awards 2013 which took place at the Bannatyne Spa Hotel, Hastings.
Sponsored overall by HSBC, the awards are designed to give businesses the recognition they deserve and acknowledge the innovative and original ways in which they have succeeded, sometimes against the most challenging odds.
Millbrook Design & Print was established in 1999 when Company Director Dave Roderick worked as a freelance graphic designer. His exceptional knowledge in the pre-print and production sector led him to be highly sought after in the world of publishing, working throughout the South East, Europe and Canada. 
Within two years of moving to Robertsbridge in 2007, the unit occupied was divided in to two sections: design and print. What is now ‘The studio’ houses three ‘state of the art’ Apple Macs which are used to create of a wide-spectrum of artwork. After the artwork is completed it is given to the print side of the operation.
The print room is home to a variety of printing machines, a solvent-based large format printer that enables the complete printing of things such as banners, roll up stands, vehicle graphics and canvas prints. It can also produce small items like stickers and decals. A Xerox digital press which can produce business cards, leaflets, flyers extremely quickly with small quantities not being a concern. Tens of thousands of pounds have been invested this year alone in print finishing equipment.
