Artiste In Residence At Kurumba Maldives

MALE, Maldives - July 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Kurumba Maldives is thrilled to announce that the Singaporean-based photography duo Felix Hug and Jamie Boyd, known as Eyes on Asia, will be their first ever Artiste-in-Residence at the resort starting from the 5th August till the 2nd of September 2013.

Felix was born in Switzerland at the beginning of the carnival (Fasnacht) season in 1964, the 11th day of the 11th month, at almost at 11.11 am to be precise. His passion for photography was influenced by his late father, painter, whom he followed his passion for design and the arts.

He has won several awards on Best Images Competitions, including; The Asian Geographic Grand Prize Singapore, The International Photography Awards USA, American Photo Image of the Year USA, Travel Photographer Of The Year GB and the New York Photography Awards USA.

In 2007, Felix and Jamie, founded the company Eyes on Asia.

Bringing her share of talent, Jamie has had experience in Production, Representation and the Modeling industry.

Their natural aptitude in their field of expertise has brought forth numerous big names in their clientele, which ranges from Hotel and Resorts, Airlines and renowned Travel magazines.

The Maldives has the most captivating panoramic sceneries, where both amateur and experienced photographer can relish in its beauty from sunrise to sunset. The Artiste in Residence workshops will include hour long Photography sessions 3 times weekly, focusing on technical (beginner) and creative triangle (intermediate). Also offered is “Behind the Picture” which shares images and stories of the Artiste’s works during their travels and gives the opportunity for Q&A.

Kurumba (http://www.kurumba.com/) will incorporate the Artiste into their weekly Excursion program. Specifically its Male Tour, where they take snaps of the whimsical city and the Cultural Island experience which is an opportunity to glimpse into the everyday lives of the locals.

At the end of the month, there will be a 3-day open air exhibit, where guest have the opportunity to purchase the photos taken by Felix; the proceeds will go to the Vilingilli Orphanage and Maafushivaru Learning Center.
