This beautiful country has many wonderful places to enjoy, and we specialize in offering a trek with us from Lalibela up to the highlands at 4000 m.
From the laid back and easy going town of Lalibela we visit little African villages, where you will be able to see how the Ethiopian highlanders live.
Also hordes of Gelada Baboons and the highly endangered Ethiopian Wolf and so many birds are waiting to be seen.

I am Daniel Melese, the owner of Highland Trekking; I was born and grew up in the highlands of Lasta/Lalibela, which - after travelling to other countries - brought me straight back to this unique place where I opened my trekking tour business.

I love this place and want to share its wonders with you.

I can arrange everything for you; your pick up from the airport, bus tickets, accommodation in and around Lalibela, guides for the churches, tours to the monasteries and churches in the surroundings of  Lalibela and - of course - the special trekking to the impressive highlands with homestay in the villages there.
