August 1st, 2013, Per Islamorada’s Top producing Realtor Kim Bagnell Thaler, "Based on a recovering economy along with low interest rates and the desire to own a home in the Keys, we are seeing a strong Buying and Selling Market from the Upper to the Middle Keys.

When asked, why this was, Kim remarked, "There are less listings and homes are selling much faster. In addition, since we only have so much land here and building restrictions are strong based on our unique environment people are grabbing up Homes while they can. Bottom line is there has never been a better time to own a piece of paradise then now.
