Experient to Focus on Client Advocacy and Hotel Contract Management

TWINSBURG, Ohio - July 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Vernon Hills, IL – Experient, a Maritz Travel Company and the source for integrated meeting and event services, is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Pam Nutting as Director of Contract Management. This new role was created to enhance the Housing Services team’s strategic hotel contract management and negotiations and build upon Experient’s strong relationships with event hotels and convention & visitors bureaus.

Having dedicated hotel contracting expertise as part of the housing team is a priority for Experient because of the unique housing management needs of large events. Event housing strategies have become more data driven while also requiring more creativity to increase block pickup and negotiate city-wide packages which strengthens a client’s overall event strategy.

Nutting is an active member with International Association of Exhibitions & Events, and has been a board member for the Midwestern Chapter since 2008 volunteering as the Chapter Charity Liaison. Nutting’s professional experience includes show management as well as overseeing event registration and housing processes. Most recently she served as the Director of Expo Operations for Cygnus Business Media, managing event housing, all supplier contracting, registration and other event operational duties for more than 35 annual events including Firehouse Expo, National Pavement Expo and the Facilities Expos. Prior to Cygnus, she was an account manager with an event housing company handling association and trade show organizer accounts, while maintaining relationships with key event cities and hotel properties.
