MANHATTAN, N.Y. - July 29, 2013 - PRLog -- The process of hiring software engineers is often costly and tedious. Finding relevant software engineers can often feel like looking for a needle in a haystack, and likewise it is very difficult for engineers to find relevant jobs. There is a new startup IT Recruiting company that is promising to change all that.

Climb (http://climbhire.org/) is a new kind of staffing company that is going to use events and technology to link candidates with employers instead of more traditional means. “The funny part is that when hiring for technical positions like software engineers one can’t really depend on technology alone to make a decision”, said Michael Latulippe Founder and Advisory Board Chairman of Climb. He continued, “We intend to make events and personal interaction a key part of our strategy supplemented alongside the latest software technologies to lower the cost of hiring and speed up the process for both recruiters and engineers.”

Michael is also Founder of one the largest software engineering professional groups Bay Area Software Engineers (BASE) (http://softwarebase.org/) in San Francisco along with similar groups in New York City, Los Angeles, and Boston. He not only runs one of the largest software engineering professional groups in the world, he also manages the Tech Recruiter Society (TRS) which is one of the largest professional groups dedicated to the field of technical recruiting. He believes by bringing together the resources held in these groups with a sensible approach to recruiting, the combination could completely transform recruiting forever.

Currently Climb is seeking to fill several managerial positions and has set up offices in San Francisco, New York City, and Boston with plans to open an office soon in Los Angeles.

In the near future, Climb will be sponsoring several Hackathons around employment with BASE and the other software engineering groups around the country. Along with those Hackathons, Climb will be sponsoring several events around IT Recruiting with the Tech Recruiter Society.

Hopefully the new processes and software developed by Climb will transform staffing for the better. Whether you are an engineer or an HR Manager, one thing is certain, no one is happy with the current state of recruiting right now. Combining face to face events and new technologies such as big data will hopefully reduce cost and streamline the process of hiring. Climb is a startup working on the problem. Maybe one day in the near future, hiring a qualified on-site engineer will be easy and affordable. For Climb, those are the days worth living for.
