MISCHA Travel Series Launches Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

CENTRAL DISTRICT, Hong Kong - July 29, 2013 - PRLog -- MISCHA launches its seventh collection of the Travel Series, with on-trend colours and new upgrades to the SS2013 range. After being selected as one of the top eight emerging Hong Kong designers in a collective, Fashion Guerilla, to show at Paris Fashion Week in February, the MISCHA Travel Series will now be stocked in the French island of Corsica, with other locations to follow!

MISCHA’s own signature print created using interlocking hexagons  - a stylized representation of the tortoise shell and symbolizing longevity, has had devoted followers taking their piece of the collection to destinations around the world. MISCHA found inspiration for the SS2013 collection on a scuba diving trip to the Philippines, with its rolling turquoise waves, sun-kissed beach and magnificent aquatic life. The line captures the colour palette of the tropical marine life amongst the vibrant coral reef. The Jet Set Tote, Overnighter, Bucket Tote, Mini Overnighter, Box Bag, Travel Clutch, Travel Wallet and Cardholder remain a staple of the Travel Series.

The MISCHA Travel Series is silk-screen printed on 100% cotton canvas, finished with a waterproof coating and trimmed in genuine leather. Contrasting leather straps and trims give the finishing touch. Perfect for women on the go, the MISCHA signature print comes in classic black and seasonal colours with the MISCHA logo discreetly placed throughout. The new colours for SS2013 are Salmon, Champagne, Seafoam, Lavender and Red/Navy. Favourite carry-over colours include the popular White/Red, Orange, Periwinkle, White/Black and Fuchsia.

The MISCHA label was conceived in 2004 as an expression of designer Michelle Lai’s aesthetic aspirations and childhood obsession with Asian mystique and her fascination for the ancient embroidery arts. The Vintage Couture Collection, created from Michelle’s personal collection of vintage Japanese kimono and obi, was the starting point for her debut collection of handmade clutch bags, sewn by Lai herself.
