Quincy Memorials announces acquisition of Sheehan Memorials of Weymouth

WEYMOUTH, Mass. - July 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Quincy Memorials, a family-owned business which was founded in 1950, today announced the acquisition of Sheehan Memorials of Weymouth.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Bryan Poirier, Senior Manager at Quincy Memorials, said that both Quincy Memorials and Sheehan Memorials have enjoyed a good relationship over the years, and the acquisition will allow Quincy Memorials to expand its marketshare in Weymouth, where Sheehan Memorials has served the community since 1949.

The Weymouth location at 727 Washington Street will be relocated to Quincy Memorials’ main location at 18 Willard Street, Quincy.  Sheehan Memorial customers can still call the same number, 781-337-9314 or visit the Quincy Memorials locations in Quincy or Kingston, 1 Tarkiln Road.

David Johnson, former owner of Sheehan Memorials, said that he has nothing but praise for Quincy Memorials.  “I knew during the transition process that I made the right decision to leave my family business in the hands of Quincy Memorials.  They showed that they are trustworthy and have the ability to support the families of Weymouth for many years.  I would also like to thank the families that have relied on our services for three generations while my family owned and operated Sheehan Memorials.”
