BURLINGAME, Calif. - July 26, 2013 - PRLog -- The Burlingame ArtzFest, happening August 10-11 on Howard Avenue, will display the talented creations of many Bay Area artisans, each with their own unique talent.

Each year hundreds of artisans come together in Burlingame to display and sell their original art, photography, home decor, clothing, jewelry, and much more.

One of the participating vendors is San Mateo resident, Jennifer LaPeire, own, designer, and seamstress of Herban Devi, a sustainable and eco-friendly clothing brand for women. Each garment is designed, cut, sewn, and hand printed by Jennifer right out of her home using only sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, and soy.

LaPeire's passion started when she began to sew in her late teens and some may say it was love at first stitch. Upon its creation in 2008, Herban Devi specializes in dance, lounge, yoga-attire as well as comfortable dresses, skirts, and tops.

"I make clothes that make women feel beautiful. I like to create designs that accomodate to pregnancy, motherhood, as well as a night out on the town," said LaPeire.

Also exhibiting at the ArtzFest is Lisa Barghahn, Burlingame resident and proprietor of ArtyChokers, which puts a twist on the traditional dog collar. ArtyChokers are the first interchangeable dog collars in which pet lovers can change the look of the collar without the tedious task of removing the collar leash or identification tags.

"I love watching people light up when they talk about their dog and seeing the look on their face when they see how cute their pet is when they try on one of my styles. Everyone has a picture of their dog, but not always their kids," said Barghahn.

Teacup, small, medium, and oversized pooches all have a spot in Barghahn's business. ArtyChokers are doggie durable, canine comfy, and super stylish with ruffles, laces, sequins, and appliques that encompass every holiday, celebration, hobby, and sports as well as personality.

In addition to the wide variety of vendors, the Burlingame ArtzFest features live music and performances on two stages. The festival also features food and drink booths, and a Children's Playland with kid's rides, activities, and entertainment.

The Burlingame ArtzFest is in its 21st year and takes place August 10th and 11th from 10am-6pm on Howard Avenue. The event is hosted by the Burlingame Chamber of Commerce and is free to the public.
