Welcome Home America presented award for 25 years of Atlanta Apartment Association membership

CANTON, Ga. - July 26, 2013 - PRLog -- The Atlanta Apartment Association (AAA) honored Welcome Home America (http://www.whagifts.com/) for 25 years of membership at their quarterly dinner meeting held at the Cobb Galleria, July 25^th 2013. Former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin was the speaker. Having served as the first African American woman mayor of a major southern city, Mayor Franklin is credited with unprecedented growth, addressing urban policy changes, ethics reform, launching the Atlanta BeltLine and executing over $5 billion in airport and water infrastructure improvements.  She continues to serve the Atlanta community through active participation in the arts, homelessness and higher education. Representing Welcome Home America at the gala dinner event was our CIO Marshall Thomas. Marshall said of the event, “It was a wonderful night, with great people,insightful video and an inspiring speech by former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin”.
