Review of Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) Performance

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, D.C. - July 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Section 342 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act contains a provision creating an Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) at twenty nine (29) agencies.

These Offices are responsible for monitoring diversity efforts at the agencies, regulated entities and agency contractors.

Recently, several OMWI Offices issued 2013 (2012 data) Annual Reports to Congress, detailing their women and minority business contracting.

We have reviewed minority and women contracting data from OMWI Office Annual Reports and other proprietary sources. We have compared these newly released numbers to our 2013 OMWI Impact Forecast.

We calculate 2012 minority and women business contracting at the 29 Federal Offices required to report under the OMWI law, and describe changes from 2011 levels.
