Rock and Roll 101 celebrates 3rd anniversary with three-hour special on KQCK!

Alternative online rock music radio show marks its third anniversary with a three-hour special on the bands and songs that found their way to the silver screen.

QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. - July 26, 2013 - PRLog -- QUEEN CREEK, AZ – Rock and Roll 101, a bi-weekly online radio show that specializes in forgotten songs and groups from the 45 RPM era, celebrates its third anniversary Sunday, July 28, on KQCK Radio.

Show time for this special edition of Rock and Roll 101 is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Arizona/Pacific Time. To mark this milestone, the show features two hours of rock and roll songs and artists that made it to the movies. Along with the usual suspects like Elvis and the Beatles, the lineup includes Duane Eddy, Jan & Dean, Annette, The Dave Clark Five, Herman's Hermits, The Hollies, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Turtles, The Lovin' Spoonful, The Supremes, The Monkees, The Walker Brothers, Curtis Mayfield, and many more!

In the third hour, regular features include the Cover of the Week ("Sea Of Love"), and the Vintage Tunedex (Billboard's Top Ten for July 24, 1971).

So, for a different spin on the golden oldies and regional hits that time forgot, join Daniel on Sunday, July 28, for three hours of music educational fun on Rock and Roll 101, now in High Fidelity! Class is in session at 5 p.m. Arizona (Pacific) Time on KQCK Internet Radio.

About the host:  Before returning to his journalism career for good in 1995, Daniel Dullum spent over 20 years on the air, primarily in his home area of Fargo, N.D.-Moorhead, Minn. A former oldies disc jockey, music programmer and arts & entertainment writer, Daniel served as creative consultant and narrator for the 2006 DDM Films documentary “Fargo Rocks,” a film devoted to the first four decades of Fargo-Moorhead’s rock and roll history. He also wrote the liner notes to volumes 1 and 2 of the soundtrack CDs (www.fargorocksthemovie.com).
