Berkowitz needs 3,750 valid petition signatures to get on the ballot as an independent. The campaign plans to collect at least 30 percent more than the required number. On Saturday, July 27, Ceceilia will be collecting signatures with her team at Manhattan Mall, at 32nd St & 6th Ave, starting 1:00 PM. "We are looking forward to being out there interacting with voters as we collect the needed signatures to get on the ballot. Our campaign is about tackling the greatest problem in New York City – the 7 percent unemployment rate." Ceceilia said. "New York City is losing the best local college graduates because of lack of employment and the persistence of low wages. Our campaign is about changing that, it’s about creating opportunities,” Ceceilia continued.
