Updated NAIC Suitability in Annuity course for Alaska now available at SuccessCE

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - July 25, 2013 - PRLog -- 03/05/2013—Newport Beach, CA—Success CE is pleased to announce that the state of Alaska has reapproved the revised and newly streamlined NAIC Suitability in Annuity Transactions and Model Regulation, to satisfy its annuity training requirement (effective 10/16/2011). Alaska producers completing this course will also be awarded 4 hours of insurance continuing education credit.

The Alaska annuity training rules require that producers licensed to sell annuities before 10/16/2011 must complete a one-time annuity training course approved for 4 hours by 4/16/2012 in order to continue selling annuities. Producers licensed on or after 10/16/2011 must complete this requirement before selling annuities. Alaska will accept the completion of annuity training in a state with substantially similar annuity training requirements. This training requirement applies to both resident and non-resident producers.

In addition to the requirement to complete a one-time 4-hour annuity suitability course, producers must also complete training specific to the annuity products they intend to sell (otherwise known as Product Specific Training).
