Tursi, DO, of Erie, Pa., was elected to the position of third vice president of the American Osteopathic Association <http://www.osteopathic.org/ “It is an honor to accept the nomination of my fellow osteopathic physicians from Pennsylvania to serve as an AOA vice president,” Professional Background An AOA board-certified family physician, Dr. Tursi works for Medical Associates of Erie, is a professor of family medicine at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, and is a former director of medical education at Millcreek Community Hospital (MCH) in Erie. In addition to his involvement in the AOA, Dr. Tursi served as the president of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association and a member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine. Education After earning his osteopathic medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Tursi completed an internship at MCH.
