Follow on Google News | Ne' Richa: Moxie, Music, & MicrophoneGearing up to make Hip Hop heads worldwide pride, Ne' Richa is ready to show her "moxie". Her latest project, The Moxy II, is due out August 25th.
Three words that describe & encapsulate Ne' Richa's 2nd album. Full of attitude and grit, the album effortlessly surfs along the emotions of love, pride, nostalgia, and courage. Without missing a beat, Ne' Richa grabs the listener with a staccato flow, almost with poetic timing, but unquestionably "street". "My goal with this album was to make sure I kept it 100% me. I didn't want to mimic anything on radio. I wanted to REdefine radio." This is a high and mighty goal for just about any emcee. But, with little to no hesitation, the rapstress adds wit and clever delivery to leave most hip Hop headswith nothing to doubt. She IS here to stay. After releasing L.F.C. (Late 4 Class) in 2011, Ne' Richa went on a performance spree, while racking up award nominations from The Underground Music Awards, Libera Awards, and attaining 3 ASCAP Awards. "It's great to get recognition from the industry. It lets me know I'm doing something right", the rapper humbly states. Releasing the first Moxy on January 1st of this year, Ne' Richa recaptured the attention of many with her music video for "The Fire", which featured such realistic visuals from Hip Hop's Golden past, you would have thought it was the 80's all over again. B-Boys, graffiti tags, and skateboards. Ne' Richa chooses to downplay tradition views of sexual innuendo, gunplay, & drug abuse in order to bring a different vibe to the "commercial" Ne' Richa will be releasing The Moxy II on August 25th, exactly 2 years to the day that her debut album breathed air. "Some of the songs will be remixes from the original Moxy, but I will be adding new material to this one. To me, it feels like a proper follow up, almost like a part 2, so it felt only right to name the rerelease The Moxy II." Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott, & Eve would be proud to see the new generation of femcees take the rap game by storm. Ne' Richa is next in line to take the throne. With character, determination, & yes....nerve. http://www.youtube.com/ End
