CHICAGO - July 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Art & Beyond Magazine is the bridge between artists and the art world. It is an essential marketing and promotional tool every artist needs to have when exhibiting their work, whether at art shows, art expos, or small exhibitions.

For this issue we have selected a number of talented artists to showcase the many facets of both fine art and photography capturing the nude figure.

We at Art & Beyond Publications sought to highlight the great artists and photographers who continue the rich academic traditions in art today and showcase the beauty of their work in a new way using contemporary methods and an open mind.

Congratulations to Matthew Davey, his work “Ashes” was chosen as the Front Cover for Special Online issue.

The Inside Front Cover was awarded to Ekaterina Bykhovskaya for her beautiful work “Nude #3”.

The Back Cover was awarded to Sue Hill for her work “Diamond in the Rough”.

The Inside Back Cover has been awarded to Tom Heflin for his work “Two Times a Woman”.

We would also like to congratulate Tracy Valleau who’s work “Pearls” received an Honorable Mention award with 2 page article in the Special issue.

Ekaterina Bykhovskaya
Born in Moscow, Russia, I am currently based in Strasbourg, France. I have studied photography Initially interested in photography as a means to document my travels, I came to realize that apart from merely recording the outside world it could be a powerful tool for expressing views, moods and emotions. Hence, I seek to convey in my images a personal perception by translating emotions and feelings inspired by a place, a situation or a moment.

Sue Hill
was born in Auckland, New Zealand (1952), and spent twelve years in advertising, working as Art Director for McHarman Ayer Advertising Agency, Auckland (1983). She has a Diploma of Arts and Crafts (achieved with excellence) from Hungry Creek Art and Craft School, Puhoi (2005), and is also a professional puppet maker, director, designer, musician and songwriter. Hill’s contemporary work is often autobiographical creating metaphors for broader environmental and social issues.

Tom Heflin
“I usually paint realistic landscapes but every now and then I like to tap into that mysterious, sometimes dark, place in my heart and see what’s hiding there. using pencil and sketch pad I begin by just letting the pencil go with no preconceived idea. Sometimes it works sometimes not but that’s the fun of the adventure”.

Tracy Valleau
began photography in 1957, when he built his first darkroom at the age of 10. His work has been published in “Outdoor Photographer,” “Panorama,” “Best of California,” “Windows of the World” and appeared on the cover of the book “Best of Worldwide Photography.”
