CARLISLE, Pa. - July 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Family fun, stunt shows and a great array of bikes helped carry the 2013 edition of Carlisle Bike Fest.  The 11th offering of the annual event welcomed the Monster Energy FreestyleMX.com World Wide Tour, Biker Billy, the Disc-Connected K9 Frisbee Dogs, special displays, demos and more to the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds.  As it has since day one, America’s Automotive Hometown was transformed into a riders paradise for three action-packed days that included bikes spanning multiple manufactures and generations of production.

Despite a brief thunderstorm Friday evening, bikers of all backgrounds enjoyed the day one of event weekend.  There was a strong flow of people passing through the Appalachian Harley-Davidson dealer mall and the demo ride program remained popular, with riders checking out the latest products from Kawasaki, Star, Yamaha, Suzuki and Can-Am.  Further, live music on the 105.7 The X Main Stage, performances by the StarBoyz and the stunts of the Monster riders kept the action flowing throughout the day.

Saturday was breezy with cooler temps, which also was the case on Sunday.  The less humid days made way for an enthusiastic atmosphere for the rest of the weekend. The demo rides flowed on and off site for hours, Biker Billy cooked with fire and the Frisbee dogs wowed families with three shows daily.   The day also included beauty, burnouts and rocking sessions from Evelyn’s Ashes and Madam Ink.

Carlisle Bike Fest weekend closed on Sunday with an exciting batch of Rat Rods cruising on grounds for the Rat Rod Revival. Buzzchopper played the pavilion with the Rats, while Ajay Shughart played the main stage.  A pair of giveaways was awarded too, including a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja on Saturday and 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster on Sunday.

Winners of the prizes included Macy Francioni from Berwick, Pennsylvania (Ninja) and Richard Kiser from Glen Burnie, Maryland (Harley-Davidson).  Both winners have been notified and have gleefully accepted their prizes.  Additional awards went to participants in a pin-up contest, gas tank airbrush competition, military bike display, field games and ride in judged bike show.  A complete winners list is available on the web page of Carlisle Bike Fest.

The 2014 Bike Fest event is already in the planning stages.  After a fun weekend in 2013 and positive reviews from those onsite, next year’s event, July 18-20 should be even bigger and better than ever!
