HairMax and Plastic Surgeon Dr. Man Partner to Heighten Awareness of Hair Loss Causes and Treatment

Lexington Int’l and Dr. Daniel Man, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon have partnered to increase awareness of hereditary hair loss and available FDA accredited treatment options during Hair Loss Awareness Month in August

BOCA RATON, Fla. - July 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Boca Raton, FL - Lexington Int’l, manufacturers the HairMax LaserComb®, the only home use laser phototherapy medical device FDA Cleared for the treatment of hereditary hair loss for men and women. Hair loss impacts the lives of 80 million people in this country.  Hair loss affects not only men, in fact 1 in 4 women also suffer from hair loss. Subsequently, there is a huge demand for the latest information on the condition and the most effective and safe forms of treatment. To accomplish this, Lexington has partnered with world renowned Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Daniel Man who is an expert in the treatment of aesthetic conditions.

Dr. Man, a board certified plastic surgeon, has devoted his life’s work to helping people look younger while improving their appearance and well-being. He is a noted author, artist, inventor and educator, Dr. Man has won numerous awards for his work in plastic surgery and pro bono work with victims of domestic abuse, and has been voted “Best Plastic Surgeon” by the Monday-Thursday Newspaper and one of South Florida's “TOP DOC's” by South Florida Magazine.

To provide valuable insights about hair loss and treatment options, Dr. Man was interviewed in an exciting and informative program on Aesthetic TV, which can be viewed at: http://www.hairmax.com/hairlossawareness

Dr. Man explains the causes of Androgenetic alopecia, or hereditary hair loss. Dr. Man pointed out that prior to the introduction of the HairMax LaserComb there were only 2 drugs for men and only 1 for women available for treating hair loss. HairMax provides the first available non-drug treatment option. He explains that HairMax works by utilizing laser energy to stimulate hair growth through the process of PhotoBioStimulation. This process increases energy within the follicle and increases blood flow, bringing more oxygen and nutrients into the hair follicle. This increase in cellular energy and blood flow extends the growth phase of the hair, revitalizes dormant hair follicles, reverses the thinning process and encourages new hair growth which is denser, fuller and stronger.

In the interview, Dr. Man emphasized that the device has been proven in numerous clinical studies to be a safe and effective non-drug treatment for hair loss.  He was enthusiastic in reporting that 93% of the subjects using HairMax in these studies demonstrated significant hair growth with an average increase in hair counts of 149 additional hairs per square inch after 6 months of use.

Hair is a photo-protectant that prevents light energy from reaching the scalp.  Dr. Man explains how the integral hair parting teeth mechanism, which parts the hair during use, allows for maximal delivery of laser energy to the scalp. He also said that HairMax is easy and convenient to use requiring only 3 treatments per week for approximately 10 minutes per session

In conclusion, Dr. Man states: “HairMax is a great device and great alternative to drugs. I have been using it for ten years and you can see the results”. He said that he routinely recommends HairMax to his patients who are suffering from hair loss.

Mr. David Michaels, Managing Director, Lexington International said:  “We believe our partnership with Dr. Man will lead to heightened awareness about hair loss causes and treatment, during Hair Loss Awareness Month”.  Mr. Michaels further stated: “We are confident that this segment on Aesthetic TV will greatly increase awareness that HairMax, with its long history of efficacy and safety, is an excellent treatment option which will enrich the lives of men and women suffering from hair loss”.
